This weekend, animal rescues across the country are joining forces to co-host some epic adoption events, and the ASPCA is helping out by contributing $500,000. The goal is to bust some adoption records and find homes for hundreds of homeless cats and dogs.
We hope the grant funding will help these rescue organizations—in collaboration with other groups in their community—save a record number of lives during the ‘Mega Match-a-thon’ event, “If we all work together, we can find loving homes for the many homeless animals in shelters across the country.”
So what can you do to help? So much! Check it out:
First, find out if there’s an adoption event near you this weekend by visiting your local shelter’s website.
Second, go to said event and adopt, adopt, adopt! You can also volunteer your time; shelters can always use an extra hand or four.
